Pictures with Santa!

I can't think of a better pack I'd rather load up and take to PetsMart to see Santa. I've wanted to do this ever since I've had Maddie but always missed it.

This was just the right year I suppose, I think everyone is ready for a new start in 2010.

Lighting of the Capital Christmas Tree

This is the first year I've gone out to see the actual lighting of the Capital Christmas Tree (I learned on the capital grounds TJ had never seen it at all - gasp). We dropped by our favorite haunts - Home Slice and Hey Cupcake first. I'm not going to lie, it was so cold that once we got the cupcakes and we landed our table at Home Slice I asked TJ if he wanted to just drive by the tree. It worked out though, TJ made it VIP and grabbed parking right in front of the capital. I like the picture of him in front of the water fountain, he figured out how to turn it on by himself.

New Moon

I have had the worst flu but want to post a few updates today so I'm starting with pics I ganked from my sister's blog (thanks Steph).

This is from the New Moon viewing on November 20th. We met up with the family and had our traditional dinner together at Casa de Garcia's and then TJ and I headed to Steph's for the Twilight viewing. We dropped by the theatre first to see if a line had begun forming and sure enough, there were already people in line at 7:45 PM. We decided at Steph's to alter the game plan and get there earlier than 10. I honestly think we were there and in our seats by 9.

The first hour was pretty funny, we were laughing, taking pics, getting snacks, debating attributes of Jacob vs. Edward.....then the next hour:

*crickets*

We're too old to stay up this late!!! Once we got to 11:00 it picked up speed. Poor TJ, I think he was one of maybe 6 guys in that theatre. He's hardcore.

Anyway we had a lot of fun and Steph developed her 'signature pose' so I had to imitate it in EVERY picture.
*pulls hair*
I'm still an Edward kind of girl but admit Team Jacob isn't too shabby. :)

New Moon

Steph got our t shirts for New Moon today!!!! I got a frantic call at 1:40 while she was at Hot Topic, a few minutes of surfing their website later we picked a shirt. The unveiling happens Thursday.

The question is, are you Team Edward or Jacob?

What we did November 8, 2009

This is what happens when you go looking for Hopper's leash.

I dropped it in the wooded area by the school in our neighborhood and we found a few fallen trees. This can only mean one thing.....hooking the dogs up and hauling back firewood. Riley and Turk had a blast.

The leash remains MIA.

Our New Bedroom

Sept 11th-13th Kellie and I spent the entire weekend fixing little problems with the house. We got the trim stapled into place and the molding painted. The house looks brand new now. I also spent a great majority of the weekend fixing the creeking wood floors, which are now silent, and installing a new towel rack in the bathroom. But the fun part of the weekend was the bed room.
We took everything out of the bed room, and I mean everything. Fixed the floors, painted the ceiling white and the walls grey. I know I was more than a little scared myself but could not be happier with the colors that Kellie picked out. The above shot is of the bed rooms lighter color (gravity) while the lower shot shows the accent wall painted in drizzling mist.

The color looks blue here, but it is actually a very nice shade of grey with blue accents. I will post the art work that we hung on the walls latter tomorrow.

Chicken Parmesan by Candlelight

Relaxing at home does not get much better than a night with chicken parmesan, candles, and Kellie.

First Thursday

Is she not the cutest girl you ever laid eyes on? I am as lucky as any man has a right to be.

Bull Creek

Hopper just hanging around after a run through the water (first), Maddie and Riley fording the river (second), Riley swimming so fast the camera can not keep up (third), and Turk making a splash (last).

There really is no better place than bull creek for a family with this many dogs. Wish I had a good picture of hopper.

Hey Cupcake

Does anything really top Home Slice with a side of ranch followed by Hey Cupcake?

Didn't think so.

Turk's Birthday

Found these on the cell as well, vintage photos from Turk's birthday party!!! 6 dogs attended the event - on the menu catered by yours truly included Dog Peanut Butter with Carrots cake, plain yogurt, and dog food with hot dogs and wet dog food mixed in. Pepcid AC's were administered accordingly, all dogs were happy.
Note to reader - dogs were scootered BEFORE the eating fesitivites and TJ's hair looks much better grown out.

More Halloween 2009 photos, more to follow....

Project Halloween 2009

It begins.

The conception of Wonder Woman's cape began last year with a dream and her mother's ability to sew, this year it will be recreated in smaller version for baby Casey.
But the dream is much, much larger this year.
What started as Wonder Woman has this year spun into Wonder Baby, Supergirl, Batman, 2 smaller Batman's, and Superman.

Mom has already started on the panel's for Wonder Baby, a very time consuming project as she has to draw the pattern by hand. I wish I had all the old photos from last year to capture the amount of work that went into making my cape for Wonder Woman, but hopefully the experience will make the Wonder Baby cape go by a little faster.

In any case I only have the few pictures I took from today on TJ's phone while we worked on Superman and Supergirl but there will be more to follow once I pull the other's off mom's cameras. Behold, the creation of two of the capes thus far - in the meantime I busy myself looking for customized embroidered S's for TJ and Steph.
